| BRADSHAW FOUNDATION - 25 YEARS IN PICTURES |
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Bradshaw Foundation we will be presenting a retrospective in pictures, a selection of chosen rock art images from the Bradshaw Foundation's archives. Members of the Advisory Panel, colleagues, collaborators and Friends of the Foundation will be invited to select one image which they consider to be their favourite and most important, together with a short explanation.

| GIRAFFE ROCK ART PETROGLYPH IN NIGER | |
Selected by Howard Mighell
Bradshaw Foundation - Chief Financial Officer
"What strikes me most about the Dabous Giraffe carvings is the sheer scale; life-size depictions of two graceful giraffes in great detail, carved with stone tools, yet capturing the animals perfectly. But it’s also fun to think of why the giraffe was chosen to adorn this solitary sandstone outcrop. Apparently, the giraffes’ ability to see great distances, beyond scent or sound, would not have gone unnoticed, and may have become a metaphor for foresight and prediction.
