GORDON ELLIS-BROWN

Gordon Ellis-Brown
Drawing on his graphic roots, his time spent in California and New Mexico, and a comprehensive resource library built up over the past 15 years, Gordon Ellis-Brown is emerging as an artist of rare talent and vision, breaking new frontiers using Native American rock art symbolism as a central component to his work. 'Sundance 1' was Gordon’s first work to be accepted and hung in the London Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2007, with a second work, ‘Howdy’, accepted in 2010.

For the past 12 months Gordon has been working full-time on developing his 'Wild West (Rock Art Revolutions)' body of work. Each piece captures the inherent energy of Native American rock art symbols with graphic intensity and depth – projecting themes, visuals and messages that challenge our perceptions. Each of his original works becomes a bridge between the past, the present, and our future - a bridge that beckons the viewer to step across and make a personal connection.

"Art is all about connecting us with what is beyond our immediate consciousness. These ancient symbols hold a highly potent life-force that is intrinsic to bringing a fresh perspective to our lives today, their free spirit taking us on a unique and personal journey." Gordon Ellis-Brown
